The way we dress says something about who we are. In the same way, your company’s literature reveals more about your business
and its values than you might suppose. Spend thousands on a glossy
brochure, with beautiful photographs adorning every page and still it
won’t distract the eye from mis-spellings in the text. It’s like
spotting an egg stain on an otherwise immaculate suit.
Having a passion for communication,I instinctively edit everything I read
and I have a beady eye for common writing errors: I don't let slip
spelling mistakes like 'accomodation' when it should read
'accommodation'; I pick up every 'must of' that should read 'must
have'; and I'll ensure you won't mix up similar words that have very
different meanings, such as 'affect' and 'effect' and 'principle' and
'principal'.
Careful proofreading
and editing of copy can be a chore but it’s vital. Having leaflets
reprinted because of a wrong telephone number is no joke when cashflow
is tight.
